An ITWeb survey on the state of IT Self-Service, being conducted in partnership with Freshworks, has gone live. The objective of the survey is to find out whether users are still struggling with corporate self-service portals.

Sanjay Kumar, Head of Marketing for MEA at Freshworks, explains: “What we intend to uncover with this survey is the current state of self-service portals within IT service desks in the region. While the corporate IT self-service portal was one of the most touted ITSM advancements in the past decade, in most cases, it has failed to deliver on its promise. We'd like to know first-hand from respondents their experience with self-service portals within their organisation.”

The survey asks how successful the adoption has been of self-service portals and delves into business’s future plans for IT self-service capabilities.

It examine, among other things:

1. How employees currently access IT service and support capabilities.

2. What percentage of employees actively use the self-service portal to access service and support

3. Whether the IT self-service capability has been extended to other business functions.

We hope you’ll be able set aside a few minutes of your time to participate in the survey, and stand a chance to win a lucky draw prize, a Takealot voucher to the value of R3 000.

The detailed results of the survey, and the prize winner, will be published on ITWeb.
