Citrix has appointed Wojtek Zyczynski to the position of EMEA emerging markets channel director, the company announced in a statement.

Zyczynski joined the American multinational software company on 4 May.

According to the statement, the new EMEA emerging markets channel director will report to Pilkku Aasma, VP of partner sales in EMEA at Citrix.

In addition, he will be part of the EMEA channel sales and ecosystems leadership team, working closely with the team of Amir Sohrabi, area VP and head of digital transformation for emerging markets at Citrix, to further accelerate channel sales, cloud adoption and overall channel transformation.

“The market for Citrix partners has evolved from virtualisation to encompass the delivery of intelligent digital workspaces, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications, so I’m joining Citrix with great enthusiasm,” says Zyczynski.

“Our hybrid multi-cloud solutions are the best way for partners to help customers adapt to uncertainty, ensure business continuity and better position themselves to seize new opportunities.”

With over two decades of experience in the IT industry, Zyczynski spent 13 years at Microsoft in Poland, during which he was involved in the transformation of the distribution and partner channel in Poland, sales to small and medium business/corporate, public sector, and managing the marketing and operations.

For the last four years, he’s been part of the subsidiary leadership team.

“Citrix is bridging the gap between employee productivity and innovative thinking. Now, with a new generation of technologies and bold leadership at the helm, this potential for innovation is unlimited,” says Aasma.

“Wojtek is known for building high-performing teams, being an advocate for diversity and inclusion, and great coaching and mentoring skills – all valuable assets for his new role in a post-pandemic world.”
