ASUS Republic of Gamers announces new products at virtual launch event – For Those Who Dare: Unleash the Tiger Inside

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced its first interactive experience and an exciting line-up of gaming weaponry and technologies at the For Those Who Dare: Unleash the Tiger Inside virtual launch event.

The event marked the debut of two new laptops powered by Intel Core 11th Gen H-series processors: the 17-inch ROG Zephyrus S17 gaming laptop, the 16-inch ROG Zephyrus M16 gaming laptop, and the all-new ROG Slash accessory line-up. These latest products and more are available to explore in the latest update of ROG Citadel XV, a boundary-breaking interactive experience introduced during the CES 2021 ROG For Those Who Dare virtual event livestream and available to download for free on Steam.

Debuted in Citadel XV during the CES 2021 ROG event, virtual character Omni has now evolved, and showed up as the guest during the event, with ROG incorporating the latest 3D motion-capture technology to make it happen. Along with the technical showcase of Omni, the Citadel XV underground fortress has extended its gameplay experience as well, where users can experience the latest cutting-edge ROG products and technologies being developed. Furthermore, through the latest update, users can find two new mini-games inside the fortress. A tower defence-alike shooting game lets participants test their aim and reflexes by taking down countless enemy droids coming towards Omni, while a pixel art-inspired jumping game transports the theme back to the times of retro games. By integrating all the latest technologies, ROG further enriches the gaming ecosystem and overall gaming experience.

ROG Zephyrus S17

ROG Zephyrus S17 is an all-new, premium gaming laptop with a rising optical mechanical keyboard that enables superior cooling. It delivers top-of-the-line performance for gaming and more in a slim package with the style for any occasion.

With an 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900H CPU capable of using up to 90W of power in short bursts, plus up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU that reaches 140W with Dynamic Boost, Zephyrus S17 delivers exceptional performance. Bolstered by ROG Intelligent Cooling technologies, these components provide an unrivalled platform for gaming and content creation.

The innovative AAS Plus cooling system lifts the keyboard at a 5° angle, opening wide vents that allow the new Arc Flow fans to quietly pull cooling air into the laptop. ROG Zephyrus M16

ROG Zephyrus M16 is an all-new gaming laptop, fitting an immersive 16-inch display and a powerful new Intel processor inside an ultraslim 15-inch chassis.

For fluid, richly detailed visuals in games, the 16-inch display combines a high WQHD resolution with a fast 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time and Adaptive-Sync. It’s also primed for content creation thanks to a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, PANTONE-validated colours across 100% of the cinema-grade DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Dolby Vision support for richer visuals.

The latest processors up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900H drive high refresh rate gaming and high performance in content creation. Up to a GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU delivers high frame rates and RTX technologies in the latest games. And ROG Intelligent Cooling keeps the M16 cool under the user’s fingers while ensuring high CPU and GPU performance.

A six-speaker system with dual force-cancelling woofers produces clear, deep audio enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology. The 3D mic array captures clear audio in any scenario, and two-way AI noise cancellation intelligently removes background noise.

Zephyrus M16 is also available with the new GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, which makes the RTX experience more accessible than ever. And the RTX 3050 family of GPUs is coming to other ROG gaming laptops, including the Flow X13, Strix G15/17, Zephyrus G15, and Zephyrus G14.

ROG Slash series

ROG Slash is a brand-new collection of fashion accessories that channels radical electric-blue and red-violet PANTONE colours and a coding theme into a striking visual identity, evoking cyberpunk, esports and gaming subcultures with a trendy aesthetic. The contrasting hues are reminiscent of the endless battles of competing teams, while the accompanying command-prompt iconography celebrates the individualistic nature of the gaming elite who will do anything to secure victory. The first ROG Slash products include a trio of bags, including a drawstring backpack and two messenger bags, plus a series of headgear woven from premium, water-repellent fabrics – all uniquely embellished with ROG Slash design details.
