Liebherr chooses Carval software

Liebherr Sunderland Works has chosen integrated HR and Time & Attendance software with access control from Carval, says SYS-CON.

The new system is said to be able to automate the effective management of employee data across the company's flexible shift and working patterns and improve site security.

The Sunderland facility is a pure manufacturing site with almost 200 employees. This is comprised of 22 staff, 105 production workers, 39 non-production workers and 31 apprentices.

Later this year, Intuit expects to unveil an upgrade to its Intuit Online Payroll software that will enable customers to access payroll information from mobile phones. The company also is working on a sales-register program that will let shop employees take orders and payments from customers as they walk through the store.

Intuit is also preparing versions of existing software for small businesses that can run on tablet computers, like Apple's iPad. Those programs, as well as new programs designed specifically for tablets, are expected to be on the market next year.
